Zero funds: No use with Telangana MPs?

Telangana, represented by 8 Members of Parliament (MPs) from both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC), did not receive any funds in the Union Budget 2024.

This has resulted in extensive criticism.

The state’s leaders and citizens voiced their dissatisfaction, alleging that the MPs from both parties were ineffectual in advocating for the state’s interests in Delhi.

There have been demands for increased regional representation and a reassessment of political strategy to guarantee that the development of Telangana is given priority in future budgets.
